EGOZA is spiral razor wire: a 0.5 mm steel strip with punched blades is clamped around a core wire of 1.9–3.2 mm and coiled into a spiral of 300 to 1100 mm in diameter. The line does this in one pass: a coil of wire and a roll of strip go in, the finished product comes out. The catalog holds two Demirci Makina lines, and they differ only in pace.
| Line | Output | Speed | Power |
|---|---|---|---|
| Demirci ODR2/5 | 130–150 kg/h | 40 m/min | 14 kW |
| Demirci ODR2/9 | 260–300 kg/h | 80 m/min | 19 kW |
The figures are worth reading closely: the larger line produces twice as much while drawing only 36 % more — 19 kW against 14. Per kilogram of finished spiral the ODR2/9 is the more economical, so with a steady order book the difference in the electricity bill works in its favour. If the line is going to run underloaded, the extra output adds nothing — except to the price.
Finished EGOZA is counted in kilograms, and output is stated the same way. Over an eight-hour shift the ODR2/5 gives roughly 1040–1200 kg and the ODR2/9 2080–2400 kg. How many coils that makes depends on the spiral diameter and the pitch of the turns, so the conversion into pieces is done for the specific product.
The rest of the parameters are the same on both lines: 1.9–3.2 mm wire, 0.5 mm strip and a finished product diameter of 300–1100 mm. The diameter is chosen for the product — it determines how many metres of fence one coil covers and how it is fixed. The feed, the clip type and the tooling are agreed per project, as are floor space and a 380 V supply for 14 or 19 kW. The offer may include commissioning, training and technical support — the scope depends on the project.
Do not confuse EGOZA with classic two-strand barbed wire: that is made on a separate UDB1 machine — a different technology and a different product. Equipment for mesh, coated wire and the other lines is in the wire processing section.

They are different products and different equipment. Ordinary barbed wire is two twisted strands with barbs wound on, made on the UDB1 machine. EGOZA is a spiral of bladed steel strip clamped around a core wire; it needs a line from this section.
A core wire of 1.9–3.2 mm and steel strip 0.5 mm thick. Both are consumables: they are bought separately, and their grade determines what the finished product turns out like.
The planned output per shift, the spiral diameter, the core wire diameter and strip thickness, plus the available floor space and a 380 V supply for 14 or 19 kW. From that the line and the set of tooling are selected.
