NARGESA and TRtech forging equipment: CHU hydraulic die forging hammers, a pneumatic hammer, gas forges, presses and cold forging machines.
Forging changes the shape of metal by pressure or impact without removing chips. In the LUNA catalog these are two different worlds. The first is industrial closed-die hot forging: TRtech CHU hydraulic hammers with blow energies from 16 to 200 kJ forge parts from heated stock in a closed die. The second is forging of small and decorative work: Spain’s NARGESA makes forges, a pneumatic hammer, a press and machines for blacksmith shops and makers of gates, fences and railings.
| Type | What it does | In the catalog |
|---|---|---|
| Forging hammers | strike the heated stock: CHU hydraulic hammers in a die for batches of forgings, the PH50 pneumatic hammer for hand forging | TRtech CHU-160 – CHU-2000, NARGESA PH50 |
| Hot forging equipment | heats the stock and shapes it by pressure or on a bar-end machine | NARGESA H1, H2 and H3 gas forges, the PV21 press, the NF70 and PC16 machines |
| Cold forging machines | twist, bend and emboss bar, flat and tube without heating | NARGESA MT150A, MT500A CNC, NOA60 |
A hammer delivers its energy in a short blow: the metal fills the die in a few blows, and for batches of forgings that is often the fastest way. A press pushes slowly and evenly, without impact: the metal deforms through its whole depth and the foundation takes no shock load. A small-stock workshop is well served by a hydraulic press such as the 21 t NARGESA PV21; batches of die forgings call for a hammer.
Send a drawing of the forging or product, the material, the stock size and the quantity per shift — we will select the hammer, press or machine, the tooling and the foundation and quote delivery and commissioning. For bending tube and profiles to a radius, see profile bending machines; for stamping sheet, presses.
The CHU hydraulic hammer drives its ram hydraulically: 16–200 kJ of blow energy, equipment for batch closed-die hot forging. The PH50 pneumatic hammer strikes with air from its built-in compressor, with a 50 kg falling weight — for hand forging in a workshop.
Working bar, flat and tube without heating: twisting square bar, bending scrolls and embossing a relief. This is how decorative elements for fences, gates and railings are made. The metal is not heated, so the limits are lower than in hot forging: square bar up to 20–40 mm depending on the machine.
The price depends on the model, configuration, tooling and foundation, as well as delivery terms, so it is not listed on the site. Send a request and we will prepare a quotation with delivery, commissioning and training.
A drawing of the forging or product, the material and stock size, the quantity per shift; for a hammer, the forging weight and the die; for a workshop, the operations you need. From this we will select the equipment and tooling.
