How to choose an industrial parts washer

A parts washer removes whatever stops the part from moving on: oil, chips, coolant, carbon, rust and paint residue. It is installed before assembly, painting, measurement and inspection — anywhere a dirty part means scrap or a wrong conclusion. The catalog carries equipment from the Turkish maker KSP: 64 models, from a bench brush washer to robotic lines.

Start with the contamination, then the machine

The type of machine is decided not by the size of the part but by what has to come off it. Water with detergent, ultrasound, solvent and abrasive blasting solve different problems, and that is where the selection starts.

What to compare

Common mistakes

Tell us what the parts are, what metal they are made of, what contamination is on them, how heavy they are and how many go through per shift — we will select the type of machine, the basket size, the pressure and the cycle, and cost delivery and commissioning. If the parts go on to machining after washing, the lathes and milling machines.

Questions and answers

Ultrasound or a jet washer?

Ultrasound works where a jet cannot reach: blind passages, threads, small holes, screens and nozzles. A pressure washer is faster on open surfaces and better at removing a thick layer of oil and chips. For complex parts the two are often used in sequence.

What does ATEX mean on solvent washers?

It is a design for working with flammable solvents: the electrics, ventilation and construction are built so that vapours cannot ignite. The SolvEX and AniloxWash ranges in the catalog are of that type. Water-based washers do not need ATEX.

How much does a parts washer cost?

The price depends on the type, size, pressure, heating and automation, and on delivery terms, so it is not listed on the site. Send a request and we will prepare a quotation including delivery, commissioning and training.

What should I send for a selection?

A photo or drawing of the part, the material, the kind of contamination, the size and weight of a single part and of a batch, the quantity per shift, whether you have compressed air and steam, and the drying requirements. From this we select the type of machine and the cycle.

Not sure which model fits?

Send your part parameters — we'll select and quote.
