The MG M-ME-ML 2538 E is a four-roll plate roll for shells from plate up to 2,600 mm wide: the plate passes between two driven centre rolls while the side rolls set the radius. In the ML version the side rolls travel on an oblique linear axis with a narrower centre distance, giving smaller diameters and shorter flat ends. Plate up to 38 mm, edge pre-bending up to 30 mm, Ø390 mm top roll, Ø350 mm side rolls, 20 kW drive, 14 t. We discuss NC or CNC control from the start: MG considers its four-roll design well suited to it.
