MG M-ME-ML 3055 Hfour-roll plate bending rolls

The MG M-ME-ML 3055 H is a four-roll plate roll for shells from plate up to 3,100 mm wide: the plate passes between two driven centre rolls while the side rolls set the radius. The centre rolls are turned by hydraulic motors through planetary gearboxes mounted directly on the rolls, and in the M version a torsion-bar system keeps the side rolls parallel. It rolls plate up to 55 mm thick and pre-bends edges up to 40 mm; Ø530 mm top roll, power 50 kW, weight 30 t. We discuss NC or CNC control from the start: MG considers its four-roll design well suited to it.
