Enter the designation of a Soviet-era or foreign machine. The system identifies the equipment type and suggests a modern equivalent.
Enter the designation and click “Find equivalent”
This tool helps select a modern replacement for a Soviet-era or foreign machine tool by its model designation. Based on the entered designation, it identifies the equipment type: lathe, milling machine, drilling machine and so on, then suggests current catalog models with similar working parameters. Replacing a worn machine from the 1970s-1990s gives higher and more stable accuracy, better repeatability in batch production, modern safety systems and often CNC control instead of purely manual operation.
First, the tool shows the identified equipment type. This tells you which catalog section should be used for replacement. Then it lists specific modern models comparable by machining diameter and length for lathes, or by table size and travels for milling machines. Modern equivalents usually match the old machine's working range while adding better accuracy, repeatability and optional CNC control. Final selection should still be checked with a specialist against your actual part range.
16K20 is a general-purpose engine lathe. A verified modern equivalent is the LUNA Altair 6140A: 400 mm swing over bed and machining lengths of 650, 900, 1400 or 1900 mm. The final configuration is selected by the required workpiece length.
1K62 is also a previous-generation engine lathe. A replacement is selected from modern general-purpose lathes with the required machining diameter and distance between centres.
6R82 is a knee-type milling machine. A modern equivalent is selected from FPS milling machines by table size, axis travels and required control type: manual or CNC.
Worn guideways and spindle units reduce accuracy, spare parts become harder to source and safety is lower. A modern machine restores accuracy and repeatability, and often adds CNC control.
For lathes: swing over bed and distance between centres. For milling machines: table size and axis travels. Drive power and required accuracy are also considered. The tool compares exactly these parameters.
