The Palmary PC-24S is a high-speed PC-S series centerless grinder with a Ø610 mm wheel for parts of Ø1–100 mm. The regulating wheel is driven by a 5 kW servo motor at 10–300 rpm, and the slide feed by a separate 2 kW servo motor with 0.01 mm micro-feed. The regulating wheel tilts +5°…−3° and swivels ±3°; the coolant tank holds 170 L and the hydraulic tank 88 L. The alloy-steel wheel spindles are normalized, aged and sub-zero treated. The wheel, its dressing and coolant are agreed to suit the material and batch.
