The Seiger SLZ 1500 is a heavy-duty cycle lathe with a four-way Hydropol bed and bolted-on hardened steel slideways: the slide travels past the steady rests and tailstock, making shaft machining more economical. Ø1,600 mm swing over bed, 3,000–20,000 mm between centres, 70 kW with an automatic two-speed gearbox, 1–710 rpm, 110 mm spindle bore, Ø220 mm quill, Siemens control.
