Enclosed laser machines — LUNA ORION E and ES and the BLM GROUP LS — where the protective cabin keeps radiation, fume and noise inside.
A fiber laser is dangerous not only through the direct beam but through the reflected one as well, especially on stainless steel, aluminium and copper. An enclosed body with viewing windows of the right class takes that risk out of the shop, keeps fume and dust in the extraction zone and cuts the noise noticeably. Where people work on other operations nearby, it is the simplest way to avoid building a separate fenced-off area.
In the catalog the enclosed versions belong to the sheet series: the LUNA ORION E 3015 and the rest of the E series are cabinets with exchange tables, the ES is a fully enclosed single-table machine, and the Italian BLM GROUP LS5 and LS7 are enclosed machines with an exchange table and a source up to 12 kW. Combined machines with a body are the CE series in the sheet and tube.
Open machines are easier to load by crane and better for odd-sized blanks — they are gathered in the sheet laser machines section. How to compare power, area and configuration is covered on the laser machines.
It does. The cabin keeps fume and dust inside, but they still have to be removed by extraction with a filter — otherwise the cutting products settle on the optics and the guideways. The extraction unit is selected for the material and the power.
We do not supply a ready-made body for an open machine already installed: the cabin is part of the model’s design. If safety and noise matter, look at the E, ES or BLM LS series from the start.
