Grass wire: what it is and what it works with

Grass wire is wire with a green decorative pile. It is woven into chain link so that the fence becomes opaque, like a hedge: unlike the strips that are threaded through finished mesh by hand, here the grass is woven in together with the wire. The Demirci KDG1 makes this wire from ordinary 1.5–2.2 mm wire at 800–900 m/h.

The key point is that this wire still has to be woven. Of the three chain-link machines only the manual Demirci MF3 does it: its data sheet lists grass wire at 10–30 m²/h — several times slower than plain chain link on the same machine. The ADF3 automatics do not list that mode, so if you plan this product the KDG1 + MF3 pairing is worth confirming in the technical quotation.

The KDG1 itself is small: 3 kW, a 380 V supply and a two-year warranty. A neighbouring line is compact rolling; the full line-up is in the wire processing section.
